Consultative Meeting Between
The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the Ministries of Agriculture and Irrigation of the Federal Member States on Agricultural Data Collection, Digitalization, and Farmer and Cooperative Registration

The meeting focused on harmonising agricultural policies and legislation, strength-ening agricultural data systems, promoting research and extension services, mod-ernising irrigation and farming practices, and enhancing farmers’ cooperatives.
The participants also discussed several priority initiatives aimed at improving and developing the agricultural sector.
These included the establishment of a National Agricultural Coordina-tion System, a National Farmers’ Registry, an Early Warning System for agricultural risks, a National Seed Reserve, a National Food Reserve, and the harmo-nisation of the country’s agricultural institutional framework, policies, and strategy.
