REPORT OF JOWHAR RICE PROMOTION EVENT

Background
The Department of Agribusiness Development and Cooperatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, Federal Government of Somalia, held a significant meeting on February 1, 2025 to showcase the rice produced in Jowhar. This dinner event was part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance domestic production. The focus of the meeting was on how to find a market for Jowhar rice and encourage the Somali community to utilize it.
