ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL COMMITMENT PLAN

The Federal Republic of Somalia (the Recipient) is implementing the Food Systems Resilience Project 3 (the
Project), with the involvement of the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (MoAI) at the Federal level and
the Ministry of Livestock, Forestry, and Range (MLFR) and the respective line ministries at the State level ,
as set out in the Original- Financing Agreement- P177816 and Additional Financing Agreements. The
International Development Association (the Association), has agreed to provide original and additional
financing for the Project, as set out in the Agreements. This ESCP supersedes previous versions of the ESCP
for the Project and shall apply both to the original and the additional financing for the Project referred to
above.
